Weight Loss Challenge: Day 10 - Time to Panic?
This morning I weighed in at 224.8, which is 5.6 pounds up from last week's lowest reading. Should I switch into panic mode? Absolutely not! For one, we're not 100% sure if it's fat or water weight - my guess is the latter, and I will retake the bodyfat measurement again this evening to confirm. Last night's bodyfat measurement was 14.2%, which is down almost 2% from last week, but we have to take that with a grain of salt. I just can't wait until my Bodymetrix BX 2000 gets here!
I have a new love - the Xvest! I know I've mentioned it in previous posts, but this simple addition to my workouts has really cranked the intensity - I leave the gym breathing heavy and soaking wet! At this point in my training, I have to continue to find new ways to challenge myself, and the Xvest has presented that challenge and then some. I'm up to 32 pounds in the vest, but it can hold 84 pounds, so I've got a way to go. Just lugging that thing into the gym and putting it on is a workout. It is also amazing to see just how hard my heart was working every second of every day with the added weight I was carrying - that is a real eye opener!
My workout today was 20 minutes with the Xvest on the stepmill, followed by 5 minutes of static stretching, finishing up with 10 minutes of chin-ups and dips with the Xvest, for a total of 35 minutes in the gym.
Back tonight with the bodyfat measurement and day's nutrition.
