Weight Loss Challenge: Day 6 - When will the weight loss end?

Isn't that something that you should be hearing on a daily basis from your friends and family?  Well, that is what I said to myself when I stepped off the scale this morning after it read 219.2 - down another 1.4 pounds since yesterday and 15.4 pounds since Monday!  I have to remember to take my bodyfat measurement in the late afternoon to make sure that we continue to burn fat, but I'm pretty confident that it will be a good reading.

Today I decided to use the Xvest again - 20 minutes worth of interval training on the stepmill, plus another 13 minutes of plyometric training doing box jumps, for a total of 33 minutes.  I loaded the Xvest up to 32 pounds this time, which is 14.5% of my total body weight.  Not tooting my own horn, just reinforcing the fact that there are different ways to make your exercises more challenging, and adding resistance in the form of a vest is just one of them.

As far as the gym, I am done for the week.  I usually don't go 6 days in a week, but since people are watching now I figured I'd better :-) Here's what the week looked like:

  • Monday - 25 minutes
  • Tuesday - 27 minutes
  • Wednesday - 36 minutes
  • Thursday - 38 minutes
  • Friday - 35 minutes
  • Saturday - 33 minutes

Total for the week - 194 minutes = 3 hours, 14 minutes

Can you find that much time in your week?  It's really not that hard, as long as you are willing to make the commitment.  To be honest, I probably could've cut to 160 minutes and gotten the same results.  As we go on, you'll see where I'll go as low as 60 minutes in a week and see what results we get.

Back tonight with today's nutrition.
